INPS (Indian Network of Physics Students), formerly known as AIPS (Association of Indian Physics Students) is the official Indian chapter of IAPS (International Association of Physics Students). We are a non-profit student run organization, group of people who love physics and believe in giving back to the science community.
Our mission is to promote physics education in the country, along with spreading word about research opportunities, student collaboration and connect Indian students with the International community of IAPS, providing them room to explore their interests and provide opportunities for their academic and professional development. Our members include students across Indian subcontinent, currently in either bachelors or masters level of their studies who are mainly but not limited to physics fields.
Our community organizes various events that are member exclusive as well as for non-members too for outreach purposes. INPS has LCs (Local Committees) in the cities with more than 15 members these LCs often organize outreach events conferences, symposiums, workshops and webinars, some well known include AESCAP, AMPERE and annual School Days.
INPS gives an extraordinary ground to connect with Indian diaspora abroad as well as with students from other countries. It also provides opportunity to participate in IAPS events like ICPS (International Conference of Physics Students) and PLANCKS (Physics League Across Numerous Countries for Kick-ass Students), IAPS2cern, along with various webinars and workshops.
