IAPS School Day is a global outreach event where physics students bring the excitement of science directly to school classrooms. Organized every year around November, the event unites student volunteers from IAPS member committees, including INPS (TC India) with its different Local Committees and Individual regions to engage school students through interactive demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and science talks.
Each edition of School Day is centered around a specific physics theme, encouraging creative engagement and making physics fun, accessible, and relevant to young minds. This year, the theme is Quantum Science and Technology. The activities are designed to inspire curiosity and introduce students to real-world applications of physics through simple yet thought-provoking experiments and discussions.
At its core, IAPS School Day reflects IAPS’s mission to promote physics and support science education worldwide- especially at the grassroots level. It’s not just an event, but a platform for meaningful interaction between university physics students and the next generation of learners.
