INPS and IAPS gives you access to a larger platform of interconnected physics students and societies around the world.
Not only do you get to know about these initiatives, you get to be a part of them.
IAPS has different working groups that you can be a part of to learn directly from their EC. They have a subordinate body which comes under IUPAP as AC5 council that you can work with. You might be interested in the annual journal posted by IAPS with all the student related news around the world called jIAPS. You can even look at their events and get inspired to take a part in them.
INPS takes great inspiration from IAPS and we follow a similar structure internally.
We have 4 working groups as of the interim EC tenure; membership WG, events and outreach WG, IT WG, PR WG.
You can take part in the events hosted by different LCs like workshops on physics x engineering, conferences like AMPERE by LC Noida, workshops on soft skill development session and CV, SOP session and conferences like AESCAP hosted by LC Delhi.
There are other initiatives our community is taking up to increase collaborations in South and South East Asia and look forward to that ;).
The events TC India does like IYPL (Indian Young Physicist's League) which is the Indian prelim to PLANCKS, where teams have to compete in a theoretical physics exam with multiple networking and social events.
We also started hosting Life Abroad: Unfiltered sessions. Asking our alumni and members to talk about their raw unfiltered experience with us which isn't typically available on the internet.
These are just few of the many things you can take part in if you are a member of INPS. For information about joining, check out recruitments.
"I want to learn more about physics and networking with other physics students and learning together with them is probably the best and fun way to do it, IAPS being the best way to do so."
