The Outreach Working Group is where physics meets people - sometimes in classrooms, sometimes in memes. We’re the team that brings science beyond the textbook, organizing talks, workshops, outreach visits, and online engagement that makes physics feel a little less scary and a lot more fun. Whether it’s through events, collaborations, or chaotic brainstorming sessions, our goal is to connect the physics community with the wider world.
As a member of the Outreach WG, you’ll be part of that process- helping plan and execute events, coming up with creative outreach ideas, building connections with institutions and speakers, or just figuring out how to make people care about physics without saying “quantum” every five seconds. You'll work closely with the Outreach Manager and support Local Committees in their efforts to engage their communities. It’s a team effort, it’s occasionally unhinged, and it’s always rewarding.
